The story of Diving Machine G5
Diving Machine G5 opened at Janfusun Fancyworld on 29 March 2000, two years after Oblivion at Alton Towers. It was the second Bolliger & Mabillard Dive Coaster ever built, giving Taiwan an early example of a new and carefully engineered form of steel roller coaster. coasterpedia.net· janfusun.com.tw
The park shaped the installation to its own green hillside. A chain lift carries visitors to 65 metres, where the train pauses before beginning its great descent at 110 kilometres per hour. The setting allows the structure to rise among the wooded slopes rather than standing apart from them. janfusun.com.tw· coasterpedia.net
At the summit, the train comes to a complete stop before the holding brake releases it after three seconds. The 87.5-degree descent passes beneath a bridge and into a tunnel, followed by an over-banked curve and forces of up to five G. coasterpedia.net
Its six cars carry sixteen visitors apiece, arranged in two rows of eight. The straightforward steel layout has no inversions, relying instead on the pause at the brink, the plunging descent, and the swift return through the hillside. coasterpedia.net
