The story of Rolling X-Train

Everland introduced the coaster in 1988, when it was known by its earlier Korean name, 환상특급. The park’s own historical record places its arrival in the period surrounding the Seoul Olympic Games, when new attractions were being prepared for visitors from home and abroad. rnc.samsungcnt.com· witheverland.com

Arrow Dynamics supplied the steel structure, giving Everland a substantial looping ride with a chain lift, two vertical loops, and a double corkscrew. The park later recalled its opening as a remarkably costly addition for its day, and as a ride that drew a strong public response. coasterpedia.net· witheverland.com

By the 2004 season, the attraction had taken the name Rolling X-Train, and its original Arrow trains had been replaced by new trains supplied by Vekoma. coasterpedia.net

The ride remains in service at Everland, where its four inversions preserve the character of a fine late-twentieth-century looping coaster. coasterpedia.net· grp.everland.com
