The story of Eagle Fortress

Eagle Fortress opened at Everland on 8 September 1992, bringing Arrow Dynamics’ suspended-coaster design to the wooded slopes of Yongin. Its cars hung beneath the track and followed a terrain layout through the hillside. coasterpedia.net· coasterbot.com

The ride’s character came from its swinging cars and close-set curves rather than from inversions. Visitors travelled among the trees, with the train shifting from side to side as it followed the changing ground. coasterpedia.net· namu.moe

Arrow Dynamics had ceased trading after filing for bankruptcy in 2002, and spare parts became more difficult to obtain. Eagle Fortress closed in January 2009, when repairs had become difficult and expensive to undertake. coasterpedia.net

The structure remained in place for several years after its final season. It was demolished in 2015, making way for a plum-blossom walk-through garden on the former ride site. coasterpedia.net
