The story of Arctic Blast
Arctic Blast opened in July 2012 as part of Ocean Park’s Polar Adventure, a new area on Brick Hill in the Summit section of the Hong Kong park. coasterpedia.net· parkworld-online.com
Mack Rides supplied the installation as a Powered Coaster, a form of steel railway whose motors control the journey without relying upon a conventional lift hill. coasterpedia.net· mack-rides.com
Park World described the finished attraction as a winding blue track spread before the two connected Polar Adventure pavilions, with cars shaped like snow sleds and a top speed of 35 kilometres per hour. parkworld-online.com
The compact family ride was placed close to Hair Raiser, giving Ocean Park a gentler powered coaster alongside the larger steel attraction opened nearby the previous year. parkworld-online.com
