The story of Tatsu
Tatsu was announced in November 2005 and opened to the public on May 13, 2006, bringing a new Bolliger & Mabillard flying coaster to Six Flags Magic Mountain. coasterpedia.net· ultimaterollercoaster.com
Its design was made for the park’s mountainous ground. From Samurai Summit, the track descends and rises through the hillside, passes above Roaring Rapids, and turns near the park’s Sky Tower. ultimaterollercoaster.com
Visitors ride in a face-down flying position, a carefully arranged posture that lets the landscape sit directly below them as the train threads its four inversions and sweeping turns. sixflags.com· ultimaterollercoaster.com
At its opening, contemporary reports described Tatsu as the tallest, fastest, and longest flying coaster of its kind, giving Magic Mountain a striking new landmark above the Valencia hills. ultimaterollercoaster.com· latimes.com
