The story of Time Traveler
Silver Dollar City announced Time Traveler on August 16, 2017, for a spring 2018 opening. At twenty-six million dollars, it was described as the largest single investment in the park's history at the time. prnewswire.com· latimes.com
Construction began in October 2016, with the track laid through the steep, wooded terrain of the Ozark hills. The completed course stretches for more than half a mile and makes careful use of the changes in elevation. coaster101.com· app.hfecorp.com
The gates opened to Time Traveler on March 14, 2018. It arrived as the first spinning coaster to combine three inversions with a double launch, giving Silver Dollar City a notable new landmark among the trees. coaster101.com· mack-rides.com
The construction plan was made to preserve the natural setting. Silver Dollar City stated that two or more trees would be planted for every tree removed, while the track and surrounding works were positioned to lessen their effect on the landscape. app.hfecorp.com
