The story of Kraken

SeaWorld Orlando planned Kraken as a major new attraction for the 2000 season, selecting B&M's floorless design for a ride in which the track remains plainly beneath the passenger. The project was reported at approximately nineteen million dollars. en.wikipedia.org

Construction was well advanced before the opening season, with Superior Rigging & Erection responsible for raising the supports and track. Kraken opened to the public in 2000 and became SeaWorld Orlando's first roller coaster. en.wikipedia.org· coaster101.com

At its opening, Kraken was the tallest and longest roller coaster in Florida. Its seven inversions, 104.6-kilometre-per-hour speed, and open floorless trains gave the Orlando park a striking new landmark. en.wikipedia.org· seaworld.com

The ride has remained in operation, preserving its place among SeaWorld Orlando's principal steel attractions and among the early floorless coasters built by B&M. coasterpedia.net· coaster101.com
