The story of Time Warp

Canada’s Wonderland commissioned Time Warp for the 2004 season, and the ride opened on May 2. It became Canada’s first flying coaster, carrying visitors in cars that lifted them into a face-down position for the run. coasterpedia.net· sixflags.com

Zamperla’s design made a compact engineering statement in the Grande World Expo section of the park. A spiral lift led into tight turns, dives, and two heartline rolls, while the riders travelled in a flying position above the steel track. coasterpedia.net· wonderlandweekly.ca

The ride occupied ground formerly used by two opening-day attractions, Great Whale of China and Fury. Its modest footprint and unusual arrangement gave the park a distinctive flying coaster without the long, sweeping form used by larger examples of the type. coasterpedia.net· wonderlandweekly.ca

Time Warp completed its final season in 2024. In March 2025, Canada’s Wonderland announced that it was being retired and removed before the park reopened; the announcement gave no further reason for the decision. globalnews.ca· coasterpedia.net
