The story of Fahrenheit
Construction began at Hersheypark in preparation for the 2008 season. Intamin’s design called for a vertical lift, stadium seating and a course of steel track beside The Boardwalk. parkworld-online.com
The arrangement was a handsome piece of engineering: visitors were drawn upward on their backs, tipped forward over the crest and sent down the 97-degree first drop. Six inversions followed in a compact procession of loops, rolls and corkscrews. parkworld-online.com· stories.hersheypa.com
Fahrenheit opened on May 24, 2008, in Hersheypark’s Pioneer Frontier region. It has since become one of the park’s established high-thrill attractions, continuing its fast passage through the Pennsylvania park today. stories.hersheypa.com· hersheypark.com
