The story of Superman Escape

The ride was engineered by Ing.-Büro Stengel GmbH, the company of the renowned coaster designer Werner Stengel. Some of the steel fabrication was carried out locally by a manufacturer in Nerang. www1.parkz.com.au

By September 2005, the complete steel course stood in place from the launch to the brake run. Its arrangement included the tall opening top hat, sweeping turns, camelback hills, and a low dive-turn close to the ground. www1.parkz.com.au

In November 2005, Warner Bros. Movie World revealed the finished ride’s principal figures and announced its opening for 26 December, placing the great steel structure at the centre of the park’s approach. www1.parkz.com.au

Village Roadshow’s 2005 annual report recorded Superman Escape as a major new attraction then on target to open before the Christmas holiday period. annualreports.com
