The story of Escape of Novgorod

Hansa-Park opened Escape of Novgorod in 2009 as a Gerstlauer steel coaster, joining a launched section with the steep geometry of the Euro-Fighter design. Gerstlauer gave this combined arrangement the name Kataplektor. de.wikipedia.org· parkscout.de

The ride was built as part of Hansa-Park’s Novgorod setting, where the railway passes through an indoor section before emerging into the open air. A replica of the Novgorod Kremlin forms part of the journey. en.wikipedia.org· freizeitpark-welt.de

A severe winter delayed the decorative work, and the attraction opened before all of its theming was complete. The surrounding story and architectural detail were developed further afterwards. hapaguide.de· darkridedatabase.com

The attraction was formerly known as Curse of Novgorod before taking its present name, Escape of Novgorod. It remains in operation at Hansa-Park beside Germany’s Baltic coast. en.wikipedia.org· hansapark.de
