The story of Challenge of Tutankhamon
The attraction opened in 2003 at Six Flags Belgium, the park then operating on the site now known as Walibi Belgium. It was introduced as a new dark ride for the Belgian season. sallydarkrides.com· dvo.be
Sally Corporation designed the attraction, with ETF Ride Systems supplying the ride system. The finished work is an interactive dark ride built around individual scores and alternative endings, rather than a simple scenic passage. pretparken.be· sallydarkrides.com
Its reception was unusually strong for an indoor family attraction: Sally records IAAPA Best Major Ride, Looper Award Best Dark Ride in Europe, UITP Best Family Dark Ride in Europe, and Thea Outstanding Achievement. A later refurbishment and re-filming preserved its multiple-ending structure. sallydarkrides.com· sallydarkrides.com
