The story of Woody Woodpecker's Nuthouse Coaster
Universal Studios Florida opened the coaster in March 1999 as part of a family-oriented area of the Orlando park. Vekoma supplied the compact steel circuit, which introduced many visitors to their first roller-coaster journey. coasterpedia.net· coaster101.com
The ride was arranged around a single train of eight cars, with sixteen passengers carried in all. Its modest height and measured speed gave the course an inviting scale, while the tight layout made good use of its place within the park. coasterpedia.net
After more than two decades at the park, the coaster closed on January 15, 2023. Universal retired it with the surrounding family attractions to make way for new family entertainment and future improvements to the area. coaster101.com· attractionsmagazine.com
