The story of The Dragon

Visitors first met the ride in 2004, when it opened at Cypress Gardens as Okeechobee Rampage. It was a Vekoma Junior Coaster, built in steel for a family-sized journey through the Florida park. coasterpedia.net· ultimaterollercoaster.com

When the grounds were prepared for LEGOLAND Florida, the coaster was moved and given a new name. Its return brought the original ride together with a lengthened course and a new indoor beginning. coasterpedia.net· ultimaterollercoaster.com

The work placed a dark-ride passage before the lift hill, with large models within the castle scenes, and added several turns near the end before the brake run. coasterpedia.net· legoland.com

The Dragon remains an indoor-and-outdoor steel coaster. The train leaves its enclosed scenes, climbs, and carries visitors through a twisting outdoor course in the Kingdoms area of the Florida park. legoland.com· florida-support.legoland.com
