This one's still wanted

No licence-clean photograph of Mine-Cart Madness has crossed our desk yet, so the card runs house illustration for now — a placeholder, not a stand-in for the real ride. Send us your shot of it (structure-first, no park logos or mascots in frame) and if it's the one, your name goes on the card — permanent, printed, yours.

Submitting a photo means signing in first — the credit line only means something attached to an account.

The story of Mine-Cart Madness

The coaster was already taking shape in Orlando by June 2024, when its track had been installed and construction reports showed vehicles on the course during testing. The work gave visitors an early glimpse of the unusual railway laid across the new parkland. attractionsmagazine.com

Its central engineering achievement is the broken-track illusion. The visible rails are ornamental, while the real running track lies beneath and carries the car on a concealed boom arm. From the train, the gaps appear remarkably complete. coaster101.com· aboutthemeparks.fun

In January 2025, Universal team members were photographed testing the ride with passengers and dummies. Water effects and drifting fog were also being operated as the final rockwork and surrounding details were completed. attractionsmagazine.com

Mine-Cart Madness opened with the park on May 22, 2025. Preview riders praised the ingenuity of the track-jumping effect and the lively two-drop course, while noting that the ride could feel rough and leaves visitors wishing the journey were longer. The reported construction cost was $100 million. media.universalparksusa.com· coaster101.com· clickorlando.com
