The story of Incredicoaster

When Disney California Adventure opened on February 8, 2001, the attraction was known as California Screamin’. It was presented as a steel interpretation of the great wooden coasters, with a long course beside the pier and a full circular loop. d23.com· disney.go.com

The engineering was an achievement of its time. Disney used special four-dimensional design software in the construction of California Screamin’, a project reported by Forbes at a cost of fifty million dollars. forbes.com

After seventeen seasons under its original name, the coaster closed in January 2018 for a thorough reworking of its presentation and systems. It returned to the boardwalk on June 23, 2018, as the Incredicoaster, while retaining its principal steel track and launched layout. data.coaster.cloud· d23.com
