The story of Geisterschloss
The first Geisterschloss at the Prater was built in 1933 and was completely destroyed by fire during the war in April 1945. The present attraction is a successor, not the surviving original. de.wikipedia.org· fm4.orf.at
In 1955, the Kolnhofer showman family acquired the site and opened a new ghost train called Geistermühle. At the turn of the 1957–58 season, it was rebuilt and took the familiar name Geisterschloss. de.wikipedia.org· praterwien.com
