The story of Stealth
Thorpe Park placed Stealth in its Surrey grounds in 2006, choosing Intamin’s Accelerator Coaster machinery for a steel ride where the launch itself became the ceremony. coasterpedia.net· en.wikipedia.org
The train does not begin with a patient climb. It is sent along the launch and up a sixty-two-and-a-half-metre top hat, reaching 129 km/h before returning through the final hill and brakes, with no inversions to disturb the clean line. thorpepark.com· en.wikipedia.org
When it opened, Thorpe Park described Stealth as Europe’s fastest and tallest launch coaster. For the visitor on a summer afternoon, that meant a sudden landmark above the paths and queues of the park. thorpepark.com
Coasterpedia records Ing.-Büro Stengel GmbH in the design story and RCS GmbH in the onsite construction, a reminder that this short journey was a carefully assembled piece of engineering. coasterpedia.net
